Off the Page is an collective founded in 2019 by a group of Portland-based illustrators and artists. We wanted to create a container that allowed for experimentation, exploration and mistakes, and to find new and exciting ways to share that work with our community.
Our shows are based around the belief that art is cooperative. Whether it’s the conversation that happens between the maker and the audience, or multiple artists making something together, we see art as an experience that fosters connection.
We find joy and inspiration in working as individuals with the larger group in mind, creating something we could not have made alone. We hope that this idea of thinking-in-community inspires our audience, who we consider to be an integral part of our collective.
